Magic of positive thinking

Congratulate Rashmi Taneja

For those who do not know, Rashmi Taneja is a girl blind since birth. She has secured 88.2% marks in the commerce stream of class XII of CBSE. It is a remarkable story of human spirit overcoming formidable odds. It proves that if a person has a positive thinking then he or she can achieve anything. See how positive her attitude is which has been displayed by her while preparing and appearing in the exam. This is the magic of positive thinking.

She did not use a writer (she was entitled for), as she did not want to “depend on somebody else entirely You never know what the person is writing”. She used a normal typewriter. She was also entitled to an hour’s extra time. But she did not use it for any paper other than accounts. When asked why not, she said because “It should be a level playing field”.

I do not know her personally but I am proud of her. Are not you?

I congratulate Rashmi for her outstanding performance. She has proved that if a person thinks positive, no difficulty can prevent him or her from achieving success in any field.

I ask all to now congratulate Wasim Pathan, who stood first in the merit list (minimum competency based vocational course stream) with 85.5% marks. His mothar works as a housemaid and nursing assistant to earn a livelihood. She has single handedly raised her son and two daughters after her husband died 18 years ago.

She said "when I could not manage on my own, I sent him (Wasim) to a charitable hostel, Bal Sangopan Kendra, run by the Shrimat Dagdusheth Halwai Ganapati Trust at Kondhwa, when he was in class V." Both she and her son are grateful for the Trust's support.

The trust took care of his education and boarding, but it was his and his mother's resolve which has brought him to this success. LET US CONGRATULATE WASIM, HIS MOTHER AND THE TRUST.

Those who think that only reservation can lift people should ponder on this achievement. What is actually rewquired is positive thinking and not crutches of reservation.
